Themes in my work:

-Chance            -Representation    -Everyday/ordinary

-Rules               -Process              -Overlooked/mundane

-Conventions     - Conceptual         -Humor/absurdity

Often times my work does not result in a pretty image, however it's honest. It's a humble experience with my environment. I take what surrounds me and analyze it for what it is; I like to say that I recontextualize the everyday, the ordinary, the overlooked, and play with conventions. I've taken an interest in presenting a new experience to my viewer through actions and images that are commonplace. As this has become a prevelant part of my practice, it has allowed me to better appreciate what I do and see. To really focus in on something, identify what it is that is at the core, and then make work about it continually challenges me; it challanges me to think about things I already feel I know. My everyday experiences and routines, things viewed or carried out automatically, become complex. I greatly enjoy seeing the results that are born from my attempts.
